Software

I know its bad to say but software is absolutely essential for stock photography. Obviously it is better to get it right in camera but that is easy said than done. There are always times when you NEED to change the white balance, or up the contrast and exposure a little.

So i just want to say what software I use:

1. Photoshop CS2- I know it is bloody expensive but it is worth it. it is very fun to use and the results you can get are great. It takes ages to get use to however.

2. Lightroom- required to change raw files (YOU MUST SHOOT RAW)

Both lightroom and photoshop(like me).

Others i use include photomatix pro for HDR and Filezilla as my FTP client.
